Marc T. Dial

The principal Surveyor has 15 years deep sea experience and training in ship to ship transfers at sea; both underway and at anchor. Also trained as Mooring Master at SPM's. Later trained and received endorsement as Offshore Installation Manager for Self-Elevating and Semi-Submersible Drilling Units; both On-site and Underway.

Our History

Plimsoll Marine began in 1989 as a Sub-Contractor to D.I.T.-Harris and Corpoven in Eastern Venezuela during the design of the NRO (New Refinery of the Orient). As Sub-Contractor, we were involved in the design of mooring facilities and operating parameters of the offshore loading platforms and SPM to be installed for the export of Orimulsion.

Later, it became involved in the Lago de Maracaibo with Lagoven and Maraven regarding feasibility studies on the changeover from tug-barge units to Offshore supply vessels for the transportation of fluids on Lake Maracaibo. During this time we were also involved in various Rig Moves around the lake for Contractors to PDVSA.

In 1993, operations were moved to Mexico where we have been contracted to various Mexican and non-Mexican firms, insurance companies and Underwriters as consultants and surveyors involved in a number of projects.
